Vietnam seafood exports have achieved over US$ 1.3 billion, showing a 15 percent growth from that of the same period of 2011. For the first time, black tiger shrimp exports declined in 3 consecutive months while whiteleg shrimp exports showed its strengths; seafood exports to EU market reduced which made seafood enterprises shift to Asian market; production cost climbed up; capitals and raw material for seafood production and processing was insufficent; policies and procedures were unfavourable. It is an overview of Vietnam seafood exports in the quarter I/2012.
