Kien Giang’s People Committee has announced the area of 23,351ha of wild seed at the locality.
Kien Luong district has 1,103ha of white clam (Paphia undulate) seed area in Son Hai commune, 7,660ha of Paphia undulata, Blood ark shell, Hakf - crenate Ark seeds in Binh An commune, and 6,426ha of Paphia undulata in Ba Lua island, 2,443ha of Blood ark shell in Binh An commune.
An Minh district has 709 ha of scallop seed in Go Ghe – Xeo La, and 1,929ha of Blood ark shell in Muong, Dao – Tieu Dua.
Kien Hai district has a grouper seed area in Son Hai commune.
Phu Quoc district has 1,645ha of swimming crab, shrimp, bream, in Ham Ninh commune. Kien Giang authorities have banned fishing in these wild seed areas, no aquaculture practices in these areas, and request any development project in the surroundings or within these areas to have the environment impact evaluation report.
