Vietnam’s seafood exports by the end of November 2022 reached 10.2 billion USD

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) November 2022 was the first time since the beginning of the year, seafood export growth fell (down over 14%) over the same period last year, reaching only about 780 million USD, the lowest level since the Lunar New Year . Accumulated in the first 11 months of the year , Vietnam's seafood exports reached 10.2 billion USD, up nearly 28% over the same period in 2021.

Vietnam shrimp exports to the US and EU in October 2022 plummeted

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) According to data from Vietnam Customs, in October 2022, Vietnam's shrimp export value recorded a decrease compared to the same period in 2021, down 16% to $360 million. This is the third month since the beginning of 2022, shrimp exports recorded a decrease compared to the same period last year. Previously, in June and July, shrimp exports decreased by 1% and 13%, respectively.

Vietnam’s pangasius exports in October 2022 reached the lowest level

The export growth rate over the same period last year was also the lowest. By the end of October, Vietnam pangasius exports reached 2.1 billion USD, up 75% compared to the same in 2021.

Vietnam shrimp exports in October 2022 decreased by 16%

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vietnam's shrimp exports in the first 9 months of 2022 recorded a growth of 23% to nearly $3.4 billion. However, shrimp exports really only increased in the first half of the year thanks to high export prices and strong market demand. Since the third quarter, shrimp exports have slowed down and gradually decreased compared to the same period last year and decreased compared to the previous months.

30 Japanese enterprises seek opportunities to import Vietnamese agricultural and aquatic products

This result reflects the positive trend of exports to the Japanese market because it is not only higher than the same period, but also is nearly double that of the same period in 2019.

Exports of cephalopod in 2022 is expected to increase by 22% compared to 2021

Accumulated in the first 9 months of 2022, cephalopod exports reached $557 million, up 37%. In the third quarter of 2022, exports of cephalopod recorded the highest growth rate of 53% compared to the previous 2 quarters (up 35% and 24% respectively).
