VASEP honored 10 excellent pangasius enterprises in 2022

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) On December 10, 2022 at the celebration of seafood export reaching 10 billion USD in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) announced the list of 30 excellent enterprises in 2022, in which there are 10 pangasius export enterprises.

Although it is not yet the end of the year, Vietnam's seafood exports have reached the record of 10 billion USD, an increase of nearly 34% compared to 2021, completing early on the set target for 2022. After continuously growing high in the first 10 months of the year, pangasius exports to China suddenly plummeted in November with a decrease of 46%, reaching just over $37 million.

Vietnam’s tuna exports to Italy plunge

According to statistics of Vietnam Customs, the export value of tuna to this market in October decreased by 88% compared to the same period in 2021, reaching 225 thousand USD. In the first 10 months of 2022, Vietnam's tuna exports to Italy reached $7.6 million, down 72%.

CAMIMEX GROUP: Double revenue compared to the same period 2021

This increase helps China surpass the US and continue to be the largest shrimp import market of Vietnam in October. Accumulating 10 months, shrimp exports to China reached 547 million USD, up 60% over the same period. In October, Vietnam's shrimp exports to China recorded the highest growth rate in the top 5 main shrimp import markets of Vietnam.
