South Korea- a bright spot in Vietnam’s tuna exports

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) While Vietnam’s tuna exports to almost all main markets decreased in Jan 2023, exports to South Korea recorded an impressive growth of 457% compared to the same period last year. Therefore, South Korea became one of the 8 main import markets of Vietnamese tuna in January.

January this year coincided with the Tet holiday, market demand declined, raw shrimp was scarce, so the shrimp exported still followed the downturn of the end of 2022.

Export of cephalopods in 2023 is expected to increase by about 15%
