(seafood.com) The FAO has introduced a new fish price index designed to use trade statistics to measure the value of seafood. A peer reviewed paper by eight authors, including Sigbjørn Tveteras, Frank Asche, Marc F. Bellemare, Martin D. Smith, Atle G. Guttormsen, Audun Lem, Kristin Lien and Stefania Vannuccini published in the Journal PLOS one. describes the index and its results.
