(vasep.com.vn) Baria-Vungtau Seafood Processing and Im-Ex Joint Stock Company (Baseafood) has announced its project on a new workshop for fish processing in Loc An fishing port (Dat Do district). The project costs some VND12 billion.
The Baria-Vungtau-based firm also approved the plan to issue more shares to rise its charter capital in 2012 to VND8 billion. The aim is to set off the working capital and buy shares of Sorbitol Factory owned by Tay Ninh Chemical Industry Joint Stock Company.
According to Baseafood, since early 2012, the price of raw materials has not changed so much thanks to higher supply over the same period last year. So far, Baseafood has purchased enough raw materials for processing till the end of the second quarter. It also signed new contracts.
In the first two months of 2012, Baseafood shipped abroad 1,500 MT of finished products for a total of US$4 million. In 2012, the firm plans to produce 10,000 MT of finished products for revenue of US$25 million, generating VND756 billion of total sales. The benefit before tax is expected to reach VND17.7 billion and VND13.2 billion for post-tax benefit.
