(vasep.com.vn) For the year 2012 to QII/2013, China surpassed South Korea holding the third position among importing countries of Vietnam seafood. With the revenue of US$231 million in first 6 months of 2013, China made up nearly 28 percent of total seafood exports of Vietnam.

The value of Norwegian seafood exports in the first six months of 2013 totalled NOK 26.9 billion (EUR 3.4 billion), a figure representing an increase of NOK 1.8 billion (EUR 227 million) or 7.2 per cent compared to the same period last year, according to the Norwegian Seafood Council.

Keeping up the trend of the past few months, US salmon imports rose 9.2 percent in tonnage from May 2012 to May 2013, according to statistics released Wednesday from the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS).

(vasep.com.vn) In first 6 months of 2013, exports of main seafood products from Vietnam to EU continued to drop due to slow recovery in demand. Exports of pangasius and shrimp decreased 14% and 1.5%, valued at US$191 million and US$138 million, respectively. Meanwhile, exports of tuna to the market keep a stable growth of 31% in value, reaching US$69 million.
