Tuna exports to Japan continue positive growth in the third quarter of 2022

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In September 2022, Vietnam's tuna exports reached over $3.7 million, up 75% compared to the same period in 2021. This result reflects the positive trend of exports to the Japanese market because it is not only higher than the same period, but also is nearly double that of the same period in 2019.

Exports of cephalopod in 2022 is expected to increase by 22% compared to 2021

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vietnam's cephalopod exports in the third quarter of 2022 reached nearly $214 million, up 53% over the same period in 2021. Accumulated in the first 9 months of 2022, cephalopod exports reached $557 million, up 37%. In the third quarter of 2022, exports of cephalopod recorded the highest growth rate of 53% compared to the previous 2 quarters (up 35% and 24% respectively).

Can Vietnam tuna exports to the UK recover?

The value of tuna exports to this market in September increased by 162% compared to the same period in 2021. However, this figure was not enough to compensate for the previous decrease, so the export turnover to this market in the first 9 months of 2022, it still decreased by 28%, reaching nearly $3.4 million.

Vietnam seafood exports in the first 10 months of 2022 reached 9.4 billion USD

As a result, by the end of October, Vietnam's seafood exports brought in US$9.4 billion, up 33% over the same period last year.

Vietnam pangasius exports by the end of October 2022 reached 2.1 billion USD

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) According to customs statistics, Vietnam's pangasius exports as of October 15, 2022 reached more than 2 million USD, up 81% over the same period last year. It is estimated that by the end of October, pangasius exports will bring in over $2.1 billion. In particular, in October 2022 alone, pangasius exports were estimated at US$159 million, up 16%.

China – The main market for Vietnamese pangasius in 2022

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) According to Customs statistics, by mid-October 2022, the country's pangasius exports reached 2.06 billion USD, an increase of 60% over the same period in 2022. By the end of October 2022, pangasius exports is forecast to earn nearly 2.2 billion USD in foreign currency, an increase of 80% compared to the same period in 2021. Of which, the Chinese market alone accounted for 30% with about 654 million USD, up 110%.
