Vietnam tuna exports continue to rise above the pre-pandemic levels

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) After months of slowing down, Vietnam's tuna exports accelerated in August. According to statistics from Vietnam Customs, the value of tuna exports in August 2022 increased by 86% compared to the same period in 2021, reaching nearly 92 million USD. This number is nearly 1.5 times higher than the same period in 2019, the time before the pandemic.

In which, pangasius exports to the US accounted for 23%, equivalent to 421 million USD, an increase of 87%.

Vietnam squid and octopus exports increased by 36% in the first 8 months of 2022

Vietnam pangasius exports to the UK in August 2022 increased 3 times over the same period

Vietnam shrimp exports to the US and China decreased in July

In July, among the main markets, exports to the US and China decreased 54% and 17% respectively. Shrimp exports to the remaining markets such as Japan, Korea and the EU maintained the positive growth.

Prospects bright for seafood exports to UK in rest of 2022
