(seafood.vasep.com.vn) As of October 15, 2022, Vietnam's shrimp exports to Australia reached nearly $214 million, up 62% over the same period in 2021. This is the highest growth rate among the top main shrimp import markets of Vietnam.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Profit after tax (PAT) in the Q3 of seafood enterprises such as VHC, ANV, and FMC, still increased sharply compared to the low base level of the same period but has passed the peak of the Q2. In contrast, the PAT of MPC in the third quarter declined YoY but increased QoQ.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) On October 20, 2022, Ms. Le Thi Tuyet Nhung – Director of Bac Lieu branch of Ca Mau Seafood Processing and Services JSC (CASES), a member company of the Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers Vietnam (VASEP) represented VASEP to present notebooks to propagandize against illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing to students of Ganh Hao High School, Bac Lieu province.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vietnam's tuna exports to the EU continued to grow well in September 2022, reaching nearly 31 million USD, up 33% over the same period in 2021. This figure contributed to raising the total value of tuna exports in the third quarter to more than 46 million USD, up 47% over the same period in 2021. After the decline in the second quarter, Vietnam's tuna exports to this market have recovered. This is also an optimistic sign because this number is 41% higher than the same period in 2019, the time before the pandemic.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In September 2022, Vietnam's shrimp exports reached 349 million USD, up 13% over the same period in 2021. Accumulated in the first 9 months of the year, shrimp export value reached 3.4 billion, up 23% over the same period last year. In September this year, Vietnam's shrimp exports tended to increase in Asian markets such as Japan, China, and Korea while being “quiet” in Western markets such as the US and EU.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In September 2022, Vietnam tuna exports reached more than 78 million USD, an increase of 54% over the same period in 2021, but 15% lower than August. Accumulated in the first 9 months of 2022, Vietnam's tuna exports reached nearly US$808 million, up 55% over the same period in 2021. Thus, tuna exports continued to grow over the same period, but export value tends to decrease month by month.

(seafood.vasep.com) Customs statistics show that Vietnam's pangasius exports in September 2022 reached 164 million USD, double that of the same period last year. In particular, exports to many markets such as China, Brazil, Thailand, England, the Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, etc increased by 2-3 times compared to the same period last year. Most impressive was exports to Germany in September 2022, increased 41 times over the same period and to Peru increased 17 times.

(seafood.vasep.com) According to statistics of Vietnam Customs, the Middle East is currently the third largest tuna import market of Vietnam after the US and EU. The value of Vietnam's tuna exports to this market block in the first 8 months of 2022 increased by 40% over the same period in 2021, reaching nearly $66 million, the highest level in the past 5 years.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) ASEAN is one of the market blocs accounting for a significant proportion of Vietnam's total pangasius exports, and is tending to increase. By the end of September 2022, Vietnam's pangasius exports to ASEAN countries are estimated at more than 152 million USD, accounting for nearly 8% of total pangasius exports.
