Positive trends for surimi, crabs, tuna in the last months of 2023

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) By the end of November 2023, Vietnam’s seafood exports reached over 8.2 billion USD, down 20% over the same period in 2022. It is estimated that seafood exports in December reach nearly 800 million USD, equivalent to November, bringing the total seafood exports for 2023 to about 9 billion USD, 17% lower than the record level of nearly 11 billion USD of 2022.

Exporting shrimp to China: many opportunities but many challenges

Vietnam canned tuna exports to Lithuania grew 195%

Vietnam shrimp exports are estimated to reach 3.6 billion USD this year

EU’s import demand for pangasius still increases

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) According to data of Vietnam Customs, in the first half of November 2023, pangasius exports to the EU reached over 6 million USD, down 24% compared to the same period last year. As of November 15, 2023, the EU has purchased more than 150 million USD worth of pangasius from Vietnam, down 17% compared to the same period in 2022.
