Delegations from the EU and Seychelles have successfully initiated an inter-governmental fishing agreement which will allow Seychelles flagged vessels to continue fishing operations in the waters of Mayotte.

This is a positive sign for fisheries industry to start the second quarter of 2012. Asian market will be the most promising destination for seafood export.

The first-grade pangasius stood at VND23,000 per kilogram. In this context, the Cho Moi Fishery Cooperative predicts a 60-percent lower production in 2014.
