The International Boston Seafood Show (IBSS) and co-located Seafood Processing America (SPA) now have new names: Seafood Expo North America and Seafood Processing North America.

Minh Phu Seafood Corp to boost shrimp exports to Russia

(vasep.com.vn) On March 27th, 2013, Minh Phu Seafood Corp signed a factoring contract with VietinBank in Ca Mau province. Le Van Diep – Minh Phu’s Deputy General Director – and Tang Xuan Lam – Deputy Director of Ca Mau-based subdivision of VietinBank attended to the signing ceremony. The new cooperation will help Minh Phu to boost shrimp exports to Russia.

Maldives Introduces Certificate That Validates MSC Pole & Line

Vietnam shrimp exports hard hit by South Korea’s ethoxyquin test

(vasep.com.vn) South Korea’s Animal, Plant and Fisheries Quarantine and Inspection Agency (QIA) decided to test the ethoxyquin contents in frozen shrimp shipments from Vietnam in one year from 1 January 2013 to 31 December 2013.The level permitted by QIA is 0.01mg/kg.

Pangasius export price to the U.S. up to 10 percent

(vasep.com.vn) Duong Ngoc Minh, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) said that the price of pangasius exported to the U.S. market has increased to US$3.56 per kilogram for standard products and US$3.75 per kilogram for high quality products, up to 10 percent (US$0.3 – 0.4) compared to the price recorded in the middle of March.

Halong Simexco exported US$105 thousand of fish cakes
