Seafood imports and exports both increase

(vasep.com.vn) The latest report of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shows that seafood export value in November was estimated at US$ 666 million, with cumulative export value on 11 months reaching US$ 7.22 billion, up 19.3% year on year.

Trung Son Corp inaugurates of shrimp processing plant

(vasep.com.vn) Trung Son Corp, a subsidiary of Trung Son Group officially inaugurated a shrimp processing plant with annual capacity of 10,000 MT in Duong Hoa commune, Kien Luong District, Kien Giang Province. This plant is worth VND 170 billion.

Ca Mau listed in top 5 export surplus provinces thanks to shrimp

(vasep.com.vn) According to Vietnam Customs, in the first 10 months of 2014, exports of Ca Mau reached US$ 1.18 billion, with trade surplus of US$ 1.05 billion. Seafood exports accounted for 97% of the total exports of the province.

Ben Tre: Effective management for shrimp farming

(vasep.com.vn) In 2014, aquaculture farms covers the area of 47,202 hectares. In particular, marine shrimp farming area was 35,953 hectares, including 10,694 hectares of intensive and semi-intensive shrimp farms. In these 10,694 hectares, 86% was for whiteleg shrimp, and the other is for black tiger shrimp. Other shrimp farming methods were applied in 25,259 hectares.

Ngoc Tri Seafood: Shrimp exports up 20%

(vasep.com.vn) In the first 10 months of this year, shrimp export turnover of Ngoc Tri Seafood reached US$40 million, up 20% yoy. Europe and America are two major markets accounted for 65% of total export turnover of the company.

Vietnam shrimp exports in 2014 could reach over US$ 3.9 billion

(vasep.com.vn) In first 10 months of 2014, shrimp exports reached US$ 3.35 billion, up 35.9% compared to the same period last year. Although exports in October rose 3.5%, but the remaining 2 months, shrimp exports this year are expected to reach over US$ 3.9 billion.

WTO announces ruling on Vietnam’s shrimp anti-dumping lawsuit

Seafood exports to Egypt surpasses US$ 57 million

(vasep.com.vn) Seafood has always been the leading export item from Vietnam to Egypt. According to the General Customs, Vietnam seafood exports to Egypt reached US$ 57.2 million in the first 9 months of 2014, equivalent to that of 2013.
