Minh Phu Seafood Corp: consolidated revenue reached VND 4,554 billion

(vasep.com.vn) In Q3, consolidated revenue of MPC reached VND 4,554 billion, up VND 907 billion, equivalent to 25% year on year. Gross profit increased to VND 534 billion, up 34% year on year. Profit after tax reached VND 198 billion, up 50% year on year.

Ben Tre: Effective management for marine shrimp

(vasep.com.vn) In 2014, aquaculture farms covers the area of 47,202 hectares. In particular, marine shrimp farming area was 35,953 hectares, including 10,694 hectares of intensive and semi-intensive shrimp farms. In these 10,694 hectares, 86% was for whiteleg shrimp, and the other is for black tiger shrimp. Other shrimp farming methods were applied in 25,259 hectares.

Pangasius exports reaches US$ 1.353 billion

Vietnam - the leading provider of frozen shrimp to the US

(vasep.com.vn) Shrimp exports to the US slowed down from QIII/2014, growing 0.9% compared to the same period in 2013. Exports surged in the two previous quarters led to 51.2% year on year increase in accumulated value, which reached US$ 820.6 million.

Korean shrimp imports from Vietnam surges in 2014

(vasep.com.vn) Statistics show that in the first 9 months of 2014, Korea shrimp imports increased by 6.4% year on year in volume, and that from Vietnam rose by 50.2%.

Quang Binh: aquaculture production up 11.6%

(vasep.com.vn) Quang Binh Department of Agriculture and Rural Development reported that cumulative aquaculture production in 10 months of 2014 reached 9,594 MT, up 11.6% year on year. In particular, 4,742 MT was of fish, up 7.3%; shrimp harvest was 4,542 MT, up 16.7% and other types weighted 310 MT,up 8.4% year on year.

Vietnam-EU connectivity promoted

Korean shrimp imports from Vietnam surges in 2014

Duyen Hai (Tra Vinh): seafood production reaches over VND 1,724 billion

(vasep.com.vn) With the increase in both scale and quality, total seafood production in 2014 is anticipated at over VND 1,724 billion, up VND 297 billion year on year. 62,856 MT of fish and shrimp are produced, up 10,219 MT year on year. Aquaculture production is 29,206 MT, up 5,069 MT year on year. This includes 7,530 MT of black tiger shrimp, 6,743 MT of white shrimp MT, with 6,685 MT of crab.
