Seafood exports to the US reaching $ 2.4 billion

Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development revealed that seafood exports to the states touched 524 million after 5 initial months of this year, bringing cumulative export value to US$ 2.41 billion.

Cephalopod exports to the EU decreases

(vasep.com.vn) Data from Vietnam Customs revealed that exports cephalopod from 1st January 2015 to 15th April 2015 worth US$ 12.19 million, down 31.4% year on year. EU with 11.7% of Vietnam’s total cephalopod exports is now the fourth-largest importing destination, after South Korea, Japan and ASEAN.

Tuna exports to the US improves

TG Corp earns over US$ 7 million from pangasius sales abroad

(vasep.com.vn) Pangasius export turnover in April 2015 of TG Corp reached US$ 1.386 million. By the end of April, the company has earned US$ 7.091 million in 2015.

Shrimp farming area narrowed

(vasep.com.vn) Source from Quang Nam Department of Agriculture and Rural Development unveiled that there has been in 60 hectares of abandoned shrimp farms in Nui Thanh and Thang Binh districts. The main reason is lowered price amid production costs rose.
