Up in Vietnam shrimp sales to the UK

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) The UK stayed as the third largest shrimp importer in the EU, behind Spain and France. The UK mainly imports shrimp for domestic consumption. In the past three years, the UK has been one of potential markets of many Vietnamese shrimp exporters.

Vietnam cephalopod exports in QII to slip

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vietnam’s cephalopod exports in Apr 2018 recorded a slight decrease. However, thanks to the good growth in the previous three months, the total export value of this product in the first 4 months of this year increased by 12.5%, reaching nearly US$176 million.

Jan-Apr 2018: Up 14% in Vietnam’s shrimp sales

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In April 2018, Vietnam’s shrimp exports hit US$275.2 million, down 0.4% compared with April 2017. However, thanks to the good growth in the first three months of the year, total shrimp exports as of Apr 2018 increased by nearly 14% year on year. The growth rate of shrimp export in the first 4 months of 2007 slowed down compared to the previous month due to a fall in the domestic and world shrimp prices in the context of a rise in the world shrimp supply.

Apr 2018: Fluctuation in Vietnam tuna exports

Vietnam seafood exports to ASEAN to eye US$1 billion

According to statistics of Vietnam Customs, ASEAN is always put in the top 10 leading seafood importing markets of Vietnam. Vietnam's total seafood export turnover to ASEAN has increased by nine times after 23 years that Vietnam became a membership of the block. In the coming time, exports to the region expected to hit US$1 billion thanks to favorable geographical, cultural and economic conditions.
