This figure exceeded Vietnam’s tilapia export value over the past five years, since 2020. The US remained the largest importer, accounting for 62% of Vietnam’s tilapia exports.

In the first half of 2025, Vietnam’s pangasius output reached over 871,900 MT, up 4.5% year-on-year, while export value hit USD 1.023 billion, up 11%. Dong Thap continues to play a key role, contributing about 35% of both output and export turnover.
