With high demand for premium seafood in the UAE, particularly for shrimp and tuna products, Vietnam’s tuna industry is expected to gain increased export opportunities and higher product value thanks to the preferential terms of the CEPA.

This is the highest growth rate in the past 6 months and the month with the highest export value since the beginning of the year. Cumulatively in the first 7 months of 2024, Vietnam’s seafood exports reached $5.28 billion, up 7% compared to the same period 2023.

Exports fell significantly (by 27%) in the first half of the year, but starting in June, the negative growth trend began to narrow.
