Mr.Nguyen Thanh Dat- Vice Director of Tien Dat Co.,Ltd said currently, the company can only operate at the maximum level of about 50% of its total capacity.
According to the export report, by the end of September 2010, Tien Dat Co., Ltd has exported 3,700 tons of surimi, valued at US$9.5 million.
In September 2010 alone, the company exported over 500 tons of finished products worth US$950 thousand including 492 tons of surimi and fillet fish in all varieties.
Up to now, Japan and South Korea remain the two largest surimi importers of Tien Dat Co.,Ltd making up 80 - 90% of the market share.
Dat also said that right from the beginning of 2010, the company invested in expanding one more post-surimi production workshop and has exported one consignment of this product to South Korea.
