South Korea to inspect fish farms and processing plants in Vietnam

(vasep.com.vn) Since October 29th to November 3rd 2012, South Korea sent a delegation to Vietnam to inspect some fish farms and fish processing facilities there.

In October 25th 2012, National Agro Forestry Fisheries Quality Assurance Department (NAFIQAD) issued the official letter announcing that the delegation of the Animal, Plant and Fisheries Quarantine and Inspection Agency (QIA) will visit and inspect some fish processing plants of Vietnam.

The delegation from QIA plans to inspect facilities including DL312, DL159, DL117, DL447, DL132, DL346, DL426, DL421, HK210, DL90, DL257, DL526, DL609, DL198.

South Korea is the fourth largest importer of Vietnam seafood, after the U.S., EU and Japan. In the first 9 months of this year, Vietnam seafood exports to the market reached over US$365.2 million, up 7.4 percent over that of the same period of 2011.
