Quang Ninh: 12,435 MT of fishery production in February
(vasep.com.vn) Quang Ninh province estimates to reach 12,435 MT of fishery production in February 2014, up 6.2 percent against that of February 2013, completing 14 percent of the province's yearly plan. In which, wild catch is 8,386 MT and aquaculture is 3,959 MT.
Fish stocks become abundant thanks to good weather in February, promising a higher catch output for fishermen. Besides, Quang Ninh regulatory agencies are carrying out the process of registration and renewal of registration certificate for 124 types of local fishing boats in order to facilitate fishing trips in the new season.
It is also time for fish hatcheries to produce more aquatic seeds to supply the provincial aquaculture sector.
