Procimex Director Mr. Nguyen Diem said his company had to halt production and could not buy enough material due to damage caused by the Ketsana typhoon which hit Viet Nam’s central region, including Da Nang city.
Workers had to leave work for some days, Diem said. Though Procimex had purchased and preserved raw material in preparation for the rainy season, it could not maintain normal production under present situation. Procimex production was seriously effected by the typhoon, and it needed some time to re-stabilize operation.
