Khanh Hoa: Fish production hit 15,250 MT
(vasep.com.vn) In the first quarter of this year, total fish production by Khanh Hoa province is estimated to reach over 15,250 MT, up nearly 4.7 percent year on year. In which the local fishermen caught 520 MT of ocean tuna, up 3.5 percent. Aquaculture production hit over 1,000 MT, down 0.3 percent.
The year-on-year decline of from 8 to 20 percent was seen in output of farmed production of shrimp (black tiger shrimp and lobster) due to disease outbreak.
Local relevant authorities are strengthening to quarantine shrimp seed as well as guide farming techniques to shrimp farmers.
