Coimex’s export revenue exceeded the yearly target

Con Dao Seaproducts and Import Export Joint Stock Company (Coimex) announced that export revenue in eleven months of 2011 has exceeded the yearly target by US$2 million. In the last month of the year, Coimex aims to export more than 1,500 MT of surimi and seafood, gaining US$3 million

From  January  to  November  2011,  Coimex  exported  19  thousand  MT of finished products, equal to US$40 million, up 30 percent from the same period last year. The EU was the largest market of Coimex with a proportion of 70 percent.

Currently,  Coimex’s  seafood  products  are  traded  in  markets  with  strict food safety requirements like Japan, France, the U.S., Spain, South Korea, and Australia…

According  to  Le  Van  Khang,  Coimex’s  Chairman  and  General  Director, the company gained a good result in surimi export thank to its high demand in international markets. In addition, the company could assure raw materials for processing as it established a chain of purchasing agents across provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Binh Thuan, Kien Giang and Ca Mau.

In the period of high off-shore fishing costs such as fuel, Coimex is still keeping high and stable purchasing offers and respecting payment deadline to help fishermen remain their business.
