Binh Dinh to raise aquaculture and fishing output in 2012

Fishing ouput in 2011 of Binh Dinh province is estimated to hit 151,018 MT, up 6.6 percent compared to that of 2010. To brackish fish farming, the shrimp farming area reached 2,462 hectares with estimated harvested shrimp production of 6,100 MT, representing an increase of 2.2 percent on that of 2010.

In 2012, Dong Thap Agriculture Industry targeted to gain fishing ouput of 152 thousand MT, aquaculture output of 9,200 MT, seafood export turnover of US$46 million.
