Baseafood: Boosting brand building in domestic market

To popularize its products to domestic customers, Baseafood has established a retail marketing system, Baseafood supermarkets and showrooms across the country. Director Tran Van Dung said Baseafood produces more than 200 products for domestic markets. Added to that, the company has mobile cars to sells products to tourists in the eco-tourism areas such as Bien Dong (Vung Tau City), Binh Chau (Xuyen Moc) and Tay Nguyen. In the coming time, Baseafood will open more retail agencies in Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Dung added the present revenue from domestic sales of Baseafood amounts to VND1.5-2 billion per month, and the company sets the target to increase revenue to VND4-5 billion per month. Through the middle of November 2009, Baseafood exported 4,565MT of seafood for a value of more than US$11.904 million, ranking among the top 100 leading seafood exporters of the country.
