(NASS-USDA) Total catfish feed delivered in the United States during February 2012 was 7,612 tons, up 53 percent from February 2011, and up 30 percent from the previous month. Foodsize catfish feed delivered totaled 7,298 tons, up 58 percent from the corresponding month a year ago. Feed delivered for fingerlings and broodfish totaled 314 tons, down 4 percent from the corresponding month a year ago.

(atuna.com) Shipments from six tuna manufacturers have been detained at U.S. ports within the last five months, according to the FDA. One major canned tuna exporter is being affected. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found tuna products from processors in Indonesia, the Philippines, South Korea, and Panama did not meet U.S. food and safety regulations.
