(seafood.vasep.com.vn) According to the latest report of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ca Mau province, total fishery production in the first 6 months of 2024 is estimated to reach 326,170 tons, reaching 50.03% of the plan, up 1.56% over the same period last year. Of which, aquaculture output reached 205,300 tons, an increase of 0.64%, and exploitation output reached 120,870 tons, an increase of 3.16%.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Recently, the "Plan for Developing linked production and consumption of pangasius by 2025 with a vision to 2030" was released by the People's Committee of An Giang Province. By 2025, An Giang's pangasius sector is expected to account for 60% of the US, EU, China, and ASEAN markets; domestic consumption of pangasius goods will account for 10% of the market. The plan also seeks to create An Giang as a center for pangasius seed production in the Mekong Delta region.
