GlobalGAP certificate for Vinh Hoan Corp’s barramundi farm

(vasep.com.vn) In December 2013, Vinh Hoan Corporation (Vinh Hoan Corp) has obtained the GlobalGAP certificate for its barramundi farm in BaTri district in Ben Tre province. This is the first barramundi farm which was certified by GlobalGAP in Vietnam. The farm covers an total area of 60 hectares, providing around 500 MT of raw barramundi per year.

Bac Lieu: Low demand for raw shrimp

(vasep.com.vn) In the last week of December 2013, Bac Lieu province harvested nearly 2,400 MT of shrimp while only one fourth of local processing plants sourced raw shrimp for processing with the volume of 488 MT. The rest was sold to processors in other provinces.
