Dong Thap supplying 70 percent of pangasius seeds in Mekong Delta

(pangasius-vietnam.com) So far, Dong Thap - a province in Mekong Delta - has totaled 164 fish processing and trading companies and 1,264 hatcheries, according to Dong Thap People’s Committee. In which, there were pangasius and shrimp hatcheries were 1,174 and 25 units, providing 28.406 billion fish fries and more than 2 billion seeds per year.

In the first eight months of 2013, Bac Lieu sold mostly shrimp products abroad to generate US$187.5 million, up 22 percent against the same period of last year. Exported frozen shrimp products were over 21.000 MT.
