According to data from Vietnam Customs, pangasius exports to the EU reached USD 61 million during this period, marking a 9% increase compared to the same period last year. While this is an encouraging signal, much of the growth stems from a few individual markets, whereas many other countries continue to record a decline in imports.

The company noted that actual sales for the month could have been even higher, but several shipments to the U.S. under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms were not recorded as revenue for May under Vietnamese accounting standards. These will instead be recognized in June.

Cumulatively, in the first four months of 2025, export value for this product group exceeded USD 109 million, up 32% year-on-year.
