Pangasius exports to the EU: Cautious recovery expected in H2 of 2025

According to data from Vietnam Customs, pangasius exports to the EU reached USD 61 million during this period, marking a 9% increase compared to the same period last year. While this is an encouraging signal, much of the growth stems from a few individual markets, whereas many other countries continue to record a decline in imports.

Vietnam’s cephalopod exports maintain steady growth

According to Vietnam Customs data, export value of cephalopods in the first four months of the year reached over USD 215 million, an increase of 18% compared to the same period in 2024. Among cephalopod products, squid exports showed a stronger upward trend.

Sao Ta (FMC) reports 39% sales growth in May, reaches USD 21 million

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Sao Ta Foods Joint Stock Company (FMC) reported that its sales in May 2025 reached USD 21 million, marking a 39% increase year-on-year. The company noted that actual sales for the month could have been even higher, but several shipments to the U.S. under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms were not recorded as revenue for May under Vietnamese accounting standards. These will instead be recognized in June.

Vietnam’s Vietnam’s surimi and fish cake exports surpass $100 million in first four months of 2025

Cumulatively, in the first four months of 2025, export value for this product group exceeded USD 109 million, up 32% year-on-year.

April 2025 – Canned tuna exports hit rock bottom

Vietnam’s crab exports to the U.S. remain unstable

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vietnam’s exports of crabs and other crustaceans have shown steady growth since the beginning of this year. However, the pace of growth has recently started to slow down. According to statistics from Vietnam Customs, export turnover of this product group reached over USD 113 million in the first four months of 2025, up 51% compared to the same period in 2024—nearly three times higher than the same period in 2023.
