In the last 5 years (2010-2015), the import volume of shrimp into Australia ranged from 31-42 thousand MT. That reached a peak at 42 thousand MT in 2010 and rocked the bottom point at 31 thousand MT in 2015 due to a fall in production, difficulties in global economics and currency fluctuations.
