Phu Yen: Good catch of ocean tuna

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) At the end of the lunar year, at two fishing ports of Dong Tac (Tuy Hoa City) and Phu Lac (Dong Hoa District), boats arrived at full speed, the working atmosphere of fishermen was also more urgent to take advantage of fishing. In particular, over a week, dozens of tuna fishing vessels of Phu Yen fishermen landed with high yields every day.

Aquatic export up 11.5 pct in first quarter

Vietnam pangasius exports to UK to record positive growth

By the end of the year, Vietnam’s pangasius exports to this market valued at US$45.7 million, accounting for 2.6% of the total export value, up 2.5% over 2016. With this value, the Netherlands and the UK stayed as the two largest pangasius exporters of Vietnam.

This item expected to continue to be a key export item in the coming time, contributing significantly to the total export turnover of shrimp in particular and seafood in general. Vietnam’s whiteleg shrimp exports are projected to continue the increase in 2018.

Vietnam frozen octopus has a price advantage in Korea

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vietnam’s cephalopod exports to South Korea in December 2017 reached US$19.7 million; increasing by 8.6% over the same period in 2016. The figure in 2017 amounted to over US$218 million; up 31.6% over the same period last year. South Korea remained as the largest importing market of Vietnam cephalopod, accounting for 35% of Vietnam’s cephalopod sales to markets.

Agro-forestry-fishery export hits 8.7 billion USD in Q1

The export of farm, forestry and fishery products in March reached 3.1 billion USD, bringing the total export value of the items in the first quarter of this year to 8.7 billion USD, a rise of 9.6 percent from the same quarter in 2017, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
