Vietnam’s Smoked Panga Jerky selected as Finalist at Seafood Excellence Global Awards 2025

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) A total of 40 finalists have been selected for the Seafood Excellence Global Awards 2025, to be held during the Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona, Spain, from May 6 to 8, 2025.

This annual competition honors the most outstanding seafood products showcased at the event. This year’s finalists represent 15 countries and will compete for two grand prizes: Best Hotel/Restaurant/Catering (HORECA) Product and Best Retail Product. In addition, four special awards will recognize excellence in innovation, convenience, retail packaging, and seafood product line.

The winning products will be announced at a special awards reception on the opening day of the Expo at Gran Via, Fira de Barcelona.

Among the 40 products advancing to the final round is Smoked Panga Jerky, developed by Van Duc Tien Giang Food Export Company. This product has earned a place in the finals under the Best Retail Product category.

Finalists were selected by a panel of four industry experts based on various criteria including product quality, originality, consumer appeal, and market potential.

In addition to the Seafood Excellence Global Awards, the Seafood Excellence Awards are also held annually at Seafood Expo North America in Boston and at Seafood Expo Asia in Singapore. All three awards programs are organized by Diversified, the producer of Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global, Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America, and Seafood Expo Asia. This year, Seafood Expo North America took place from March 15 to 17, while Seafood Expo Asia is scheduled to be held from September 10 to 12, 2025.
