In fact, the entreprise have already welcome the inter bank rate rise that would help increase its profit by 2%, yet Coimex is facing the inflation of oil and electricity which cause the soar of all costs. In fact, the fee for transportation made finished products price surge to 20 cents per kilogram, up 5 cents per one kilogram.
Moreover, the lack of raw materials pushed prices to increase by 15% as compared with the last price update.
Currently, Coimex’s seafood export markets are quite stable and existing surimi production capacity does not satisfy an increasing demands in other countries. To ensure the production of 80 tons per day, Coimex has to find raw materials sourses across the coastal areas. However, the average total cost went up 35% now.
Beside the measures of economising energy, boosting productivity and using new product design patterns, the enterprise was pushed to increase its export prices. “In the next time, Coimex will seek to negociate with its trading partners on higher selling prices, but it must not be easy to get through” Mr Khang said.
