Bluefin tuna quota set for the first time in Eastern Pacific

(fis.com) The catch quota for bluefin tuna in the Eastern Pacific Ocean was set for the first time at the annual meeting of the Inter American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC) held in June in the US at 10,000 tonnes total over 2012 and 2013.

Baseafood’s export value up to US$20 million

(VASEPNews) In the first seven months of 2012, Baria – Vungtau Seafood Processing and Im-Ex Joint Stock Company (Baseafood) shipped abroad more than 5,000 MT of seafood products, bringing nearly US$20 million of total revenue and over VND5 billion of profits. The main export items were frozen marine fish and dried seafood.
