Aquatex Ben Tre’s post-tax profit up 21 percent

(vasep.com.vn) In the third quarter of 2012, Ben Tre Aquaproduct Im-Ex Joint Stock Company (Aquatex Ben Tre – HOSE code: ABT) gained VND21.7 billion of post-tax profit, up 21 percent compared to the compatible quarter of 2011. The company’s cumulative profit was VND74.4 billion between January and September 2012, reporting a slight slide from the same time of last year.

Cephalopod exports to Taiwan plunged

(vasep.com.vn) As of the first half of September 2012, exports of Vietnam cephalopod and bivalve mollusk to Taiwan reported the deepest reduction compared to that of the same period of 2011 while statistics of Taiwan Customs showed that in the past 7 months, mollusk still made up nearly 30 percent of total import value of finfish and crustacean, mollusk and other aquatic invertebrates into Taiwan.

Philippines expects higher year-end tuna catches
