The industry reported US$12.4 million of pangasius sales to Russia in the second quarter of 2012, while it reached US$18.01 million in the same quarter of 2011.

All food facilities registered with FDA need to renew registrations

Fimex VN got US$51 million of shrimp export

(vasep.com.vn) In the first three quarters of 2012, SaoTa Foods Joint Stock Company (Fimex VN) processed and sold 4,692 MT of shrimp products, bringing total revenue of US$51 million. The figures were equal to 91.6 percent in volume and 83.6 percent in value compared to those of the corresponding time in 2011.

Norway-Russia set record Barents Sea cod quota of 1 million tons for 2013

The Joint Norwegian-Russian Fisheries Commission met in Trondheim, Norway yesterday to set the annual quotas for the main fish stocks in the Barents Sea. The two parties agreed that the quotas for cod will be a record high of one million tons in 2013. The fish is estimated to have a catch value of NOK 15 billion (€2 billion).
