Positive outlook for whiteleg shrimp exports

(vasep.com.vn) Fish farmers will be compulsory to adopt the Vietnamese Good Agriculture Practice (VietGAP) standards in their farming process. VietGAP is also a base to link producers, consumers and retailers, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan – Deputy General Director of the Directorate of Fisheries (D-Fish) revealed in the workshop “Seeking co-operation in strengthening application of VietGap” recently held in Ho Chi Minh city.

Fresh fish landings continue falling

Between January and August 2013 a total of 149,090 tonnes of fresh fish entered the ports of Spain, 5.1 per cent less than in the same period of 2012, when landings reached 157,167 tonnes, reported Puertos del Estado.
