(vasep.com.vn) In the first quarter of 2014, South Ha Tinh Sea Product Import and Export Joint Stock Company (Shatico) purchased 199 MT of raw squid to process 148 MT of finished products. In which, 112 MT of ready-to-eat squid products were exported to Japan and other 36 MT were sold in the domestic market.

To develop a high potential tuna sector

(vasep.com.vn) Vietnam has started fishing ocean tuna since 1994. The main species are yellowfin tuna, bigeye tuna, skipjack tuna with fish stocks up to 600,000 MT. Yellowfin and bigeye tuna have an average stock of more than 45,000 MT and an allowable fish catch of about 20,000 per year. Skipjack tuna has abundant stock with allowable catch of 200,000 per year.

Higher price for pangasius exported to South Korea

Mexico fosters seafood import from An Giang

(vasep.com.vn) On April 10th 2014, the delegation of Mexican enterprises have made a fact-finding visit to the Mekong Delta province of An Giang with an aim to seeking opportunities to import frozen seafood from the province. The event helps to facilitate the locality's pangasius exports.
