Increasing in processed tuna exports in 2013

(vasep.com.vn) In 2013, exports of processed tuna products hit US$233 million, rising 22 percent and making up 48 percent of the country’s total tuna exports. While exports of dried/frozen/live/fresh tuna products hit US$257 million, down 22 percent with the proportion of 52 percent.

In which, catches were 206 thousand MT, up 5.6 percent; aquaculture was 182 thousand MT, up 2 percent.

(fis.com) In the first three months of 2012 fishing and aquaculture product exports in Chile reached a value of USD 1,317 million. This represents a 7.3 per cent rise over the same period of 2011, when USD 1,227.2 million was obtained.
