Ca Mau: total production reached 36,000 MT in October

(vasep.com.vn) In QIII/2014, Vietnam seafood exports continued their upward trend thanks to surge in both demand and supply. In QIII/2014, total export value reached US$ 2.2 billion, up 15%, making yearly accumulated export value to US$ 5.8 billion, up 21% year on year.

(vasep.com.vn) Total export value in 9 months reached over US$ 206 million, up nearly 31% year on year. It is the surge in exports to key markets such as China, Taiwan and Russia, especially to Russia (particularly upped 118% year on year), that boosted the export value of this commodity.

Jan – Sep 2014: Pangasius exports up slightly

(vasep.com.vn) In the first 9 months of 2014, Vietnam’s pangasius exports were US$ 1.276 billion, up 0.2% year on year. Pangasius, accounted for 22 % of total seafood export value of Vietnam, was the second most exported seafood, after shrimp.

Shrimp exports hit nearly US$ 3 billion in 9 months

(vasep.com.vn) In the first 9 months of 2014, Vietnam shrimp exports reached US$ 2.93 billion, up 42.3% year on year. The US continued to be the leading import market for shrimp from Vietnam in Q3/2014 although in this quarter, Vietnam shrimp exports to the US were lower than in the first half of 2014.

Ba Ria Vung Tau: seafood exports increased by 13.65%

(vasep.com.vn) According to Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam’s seafood exports in September reached USD 722 million, bringing total export turnover in nine months to US$ 5.75 billion, up 23.7% year on year. Export growth rates to main markets in the first 9 months remained high. Seafood exports to the US reached US$ 1.28 billion, up 26.8% whilst that to EU was over US$ 1 billion, up 27.1%. Exports to South Korea reached US$ 467 million, up 44.6%.Exports to Japan were US$ 850 million, up 8.4%.
