(vasep.com.vn) August witnesses the best performance of shrimp exports to the US so far this year. Reportedly, shrimp exports to the market experienced the deepest dive in February and posted a gradual growth from April to August.

Japan to process tuna in Phu Yen

At a working session on August 15 with Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Le Van Truc, director of The Japanese Hokugan Ltd Company, Kawahira Manabu expressed their intention to build a tuna processor in the central coastal province of Phu Yen in the near future. Designed capacity would be 1,800 MT/month.

Bivalve mollusks exports to Japan increase

(vasep.com.vn) According to Vietnam Customs, by 15th August, Vietnamese companies earned a total revenue of US$ 6.16 million from bivalve mollusk exports to Japan, up 25.6% year on year. Processed clam is the major product that Vietnam sends here. Japan is Vietnam's second biggest importing market for this species, right after the EU. Exports to Japan represent 12.3% of total bivalve mollusk exports from Vietnam.

Fimex VN processed over 1,400 MT of frozen shrimp

(vasep.com.vn) Source from Sao Ta Foods Joint Stock Company (Fimex VN) revealed that in August 2015, the company processed 1,404 MT of frozen shrimp, bringing the cumulative volume of product to 7,547 MT, equivalent to 110% of the same period in 2014.

Tien Giang: Seafood production in August up 22%

Most exported seafood from Vietnam is destined to US

(vasep.com.vn) Source from Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development revealed that seafood exports through August 2015 touched US$ 4.13 billion, down 17.5%. US maintained as the leading import market, occupying 19.21% of total Vietnam's seafood export value.

Pangasius exports to ASEAN decreased by 4%

(vasep.com.vn) The first half of 2014, pangasius exports to ASEAN markets were quite well, with the biggest three, (Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines) achieving positive growth. The first half of this year, pangasius exports reversed.
