Vietnam pangasius exports in Jan - Apr 2016

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vietnam pangasius exports in April, 2016 reached ovear US$142 million, up 13% compared to the same month of last year. The cumulative figure in the first 4 months of 2016 valued at US$507.5 million, up 5.2% year on year. Importing markets and main products are as follows:

Opening of Vietnam Fisheries International Exhibition 2016

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) On August 3rd 2016, Vietnam Fisheries International Exhibition 2016 was officially opened at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), 799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, HCM City. This is an important annual event of the fisheries industry organized by VASEP continuously since 1998 until now. Vietfish 2016 gathered nearly 200 domestic and foreign large companies which are from many countries such as the US, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand ... with more than 350 booths.

ASEAN - the 4th largest importer of Vietnam pangasius

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) As of June 15th 2016, ASEAN was the 4th largest pangasius importer of Vietnam (after the US, EU, China - Hong Kong). This was a potential importing market of Vietnam in 2015. However, in some recent months, the shipments to this market showed a slight decrease.

Seanamico to hit sales of VND780 billion in 2016

Japan - the 2nd biggest importer of Vietnam cephalopod

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first 5 months of this year, Vietnam cephalopod exports to Japan hit US$36.32 million, down 4.1% compared to the same period of 2015. Japan is the 2nd largest importer, making up 25.5% of total Vietnam cephalopod exports.
