Vietnam pangasius exports to Germany optimistic in the first 2 months of 2023

While pangasius exports to the top 10 markets all decreased by 8% - 60% over the same period, Germany - the 9th ranked market still maintained a growth rate of 81%.

The average price of Vietnamese pangasius exports to Brazil in January reached 3.06 USD/kg, up 3% compared to 2.98 USD/kg in the same period last year. Compared with the same period, the volume of pangasius exported to Brazil decreased by 79%.

The two main product lines exported to China are frozen pangasius fillets (HS code 030462) accounted for over 74% of the value with 531 million USD and frozen pangasius butterfly (HS code 030324) accounted for over 25% with nearly 180 million USD.

Vietnam's pangasius exports – optimistic signals from the US and China markets
