(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first ten months of 2024, 448 Vietnamese companies were involved in exporting pangasius to international markets. Vinh Hoan remains the top exporter, holding a 14% share of Vietnam's total pangasius export value.

Specifically, Van Duc Tien Giang holds a 5.33% share of Vietnam's pangasius export value, mainly exporting to the United States, Singapore, China, and Hong Kong. Nam Viet holds a 3.31% share, while I.D.I Corp captures 4.38%.
China is the largest consumer of Vietnamese pangasius, with 119 companies exporting to this market. Among the top five exporters to China are Truong Giang Fisheries Corporation, with a 12% share; Dai Thanh Company (10%); Nam Viet Corporation (7%); Hung Ca Corporation (6%); and Cat Tuong Aquatic Processing Limited Liability Company and Vinh Hoan (5%).
The increasing number of Vietnamese companies exporting pangasius reflects rising global demand, as many countries now cultivate pangasius to meet both domestic and export needs. In recent years, Vietnam has dominated the export of frozen tra fillets, driven by high global demand for HS code 0304 products. However, as competition in the pangasius market intensifies, Vietnamese companies must diversify their product offerings, enhance research and production, and promote added-value pangasius products to maintain their leadership in global exports.
