Phu Yen: Sharp increase in tuna catch

(vasep.com.vn) Since the early July 2014, tuna catch by fishermen in Phu Yen province reported a sharp increase, bringing the revenue of VND200-400 million for each fishing trip, according to provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Bac Lieu: 144,341 MT of fish production in Jan-June

(vasep.com.vn) Through June 2014, fish production of Bac Lieu province totaled 144,341 MT including 45,954 MT of shrimp and 98,387 MT of finfish and other aquatic species. The figure was up 18.66 percent year on year and equal to 52.45 percent of the locality's yearly plan.
