Oyster exports continue to grow

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) After a breakthrough growth in 2023, Vietnam's oyster exports continued to increase in the first five months of 2024. In May 2024, the export value of this product group increased by 52%. Cumulatively, in the first five months of 2024, Vietnam's oyster export value reached nearly 7 million USD, up 31% compared to the same period in 2023.

An Giang province expands aquaculture area

The total pangasius farming area has reached 1,957.06 hectares, with an estimated harvest output of 265,177 tons.

Vietnam surimi exports remain sluggish

The export value in this month reached only over 23 million USD, down 25% compared to the same period in 2023. In the first five months of 2024, Vietnam's exports of surimi and fish cake reached over 106 million USD, down 15%.

An Giang province: Over 313 ha of Pangasius farming area get international certifications

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Currently, An Giang province has linked consumption areas for commercial Pangasius pangasius covering approximately 1,072 hectares, accounting for 87.6% of the total farming area in the province. Notably, the farming area managed by enterprises exceeds 778 hectares, involving 9 linkage chains with 99 linked farming facilities, spanning an area of nearly 294 hectares. Prominent linked enterprises include Vinh Hoan JSC, IDI Corporation - Sao Mai Group, and Hung Phuc Thinh Food JSC.

Pangasius exports to the EU has mixed trend in H1/2024

Cumulative pangasius exports to this market as of June 15, 2024, reached 77 million USD, down 6% over the same period in 2023.

Vietnamese clam exports to the EU show signs of rebound
